Team Canada enters the tournament as the reigning powerhouse, having won four consecutive best-on-best international events — the 2010 and 2014 Olympics, the 2016 World Cup of Hockey, and the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off.

The most debated area is in goal. Binnington and Hill have proven they can handle big-game pressure, but Canada lacks the clear-cut superstar netminder they had in Carey Price. That could open the door for a late challenger if a hot goalie emerges in early 2026.
