The Edmonton Oilers are a team on a mission. After two straight losses in the Stanley Cup Final to the Florida Panthers, the pressure is on to finally bring home the championship. The journey to redemption begins with the 2025-26 preseason, and we have your first look at the schedule.
The Oilers will play eight preseason games, starting with a split-squad matchup against the Calgary Flames on September 21st. The team will then hit the road to take on the Winnipeg Jets before returning home for a three-game homestand against the Seattle Kraken, Winnipeg Jets, and Vancouver Canucks. The preseason will wrap up with a two-game road trip against the Seattle Kraken and Vancouver Canucks.
Goaltending Remains the Biggest Question Mark
The Oilers have a Stanley Cup-caliber offense, but their goaltending has been a major question mark for the past few seasons. The team has been linked to free agent Carter Hart, and it will be interesting to see if they make a move to shore up their goaltending before the start of the season.
